Do I need to be computer savvy to take an online course?
If you know how to get online, send an e-mail and word process, you'll do well in an IT4Educators course.  Instructions to get you started are e-mailed out to you before the course begins.  All enrolled participants are supplied a login and password to Atomic Learning and Moodle.  These programs give enrolled teachers access to online tutorials and an anytime, anywhere learning environment.
How does an online course work?
Online courses are great for self-motivated learners who want to take a course without spending physical time in a classroom. The user logs in to a website (IT4Educators uses a program called Moodle) where the syllabus, the online weblinks, discussion board (to communicate with other classmates) and even a gradebook await them. Users do all work online and then submit assignments digitally in a Digital Dropbox. (This is very similar to adding an attachment to an e-mail.) All the "how-to's" and instructions are posted for direction and the instructor is always a phone call or an e-mail away if you need assistance.
Will these courses count towards a lane change?
IT4Educators partners with the University of St. Thomas, North Dakota State University and Chapman University College to bring you Graduate Continuing Education semester credit courses that meet requirements for license renewal and may be used for lane changes when prior approval has been obtained by the student from his or her district/employment personnel office.
Can I transfer these credits into a Graduate Degree program?
Any student seeking to transfer graduate continuing education credits into a graduate program at another institution is advised to obtain prior approval from the academic adviser and dean at that institution.
What if I need technical assistance during the course?
IT4Educators is dedicated to customer service.  We are interested in your questions and feedback, and will respond to your inquiries within 48 hours either by providing online assistance or by telephone.

Can I turn in coursework early?
All work is graded in a timely fashion and returned to participants in an online drop box or by e-mail.  Participants can complete the course in two weeks or in 14 weeks, as long as work is submitted by the final grading deadline.
